About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Discover this beautiful world and find out my place in it!
ABOUT ME
I'm a 24 years old Masters student BioMechanical Engineering with a specialization in Biorobotics from The Netherlands.
I'm a real active person. Love the outdoors, (wind)surfing, snowboarding, hiking, tourskiing and all the other crazy stuff. I love the challange and the fighting (in a respectful way) with the elements like water, wind, snow and mountains. The best thing is to get physically challenged by nature and in that way experience the beauty of it all!
I love to travel and do exciting things. But during traveling one of the most import things is to learn something about the people and the country. The only way to do that is to get in contact with the locals and not try to be too much of a tourist. I learn a lot by traveling, mainly about myself. My current mission is also to find out where my place in this world is. But to know that, I need to know something about the world first!
I'm always in for a crazy idea. I'm a sociale person and like to be in contact with a lot of people, but also really like to spend an evening by myself once in a while reading a book or doing something else.
I'm ambitious too, want to accomplish things in life and not just sit around and do nothing!
PHILOSOPHY
People are important, so care about them. Our world is amazing, so care about it! Everybody has gifts, things he or she is good at, find them and use them for people and the world!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm open for hosting and excited to meet new people. And during my travels I hope to surf a lot of couches to get the real experience of a country.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I haven't done a lot of couchsurfing yet, but still some. Marocco was definitely the best place to couchsurf so far. People were so friendly and hospital, amazing. I learned a lot by sleeping at different families, participated in the traditional dinners and other things. I'll never forget it!
My other good experience was to couchsurf in California. People were very laid back!
Interests
One of my problems is that I have way too many interests. And I don't like choosing between them :) Some random things: development aid, entrepreneurship, politics, sustainability, hiking the mountains, windsurfing, wavesurfing, snowboarding, reading, good conversations, new or crazy projects, technology, organizing things, basketball, going into the wild and do scary new things!
