Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
As a traveler: Freed from the chains of work, I'm full of enthusiasm for new experiences. If I can't make you laugh at least once, lunch is on me.
As a host: I'll be honest - Work in Korea keeps its thumb pressed hard upon my back. I leave home at 7am and rarely return before 10pm. When I get home, I'm usually tired and need to sleep. (Haha, sounds like an awesome host, right?). Truth be told, I really can't entertain those who visit me in Seoul. But I still want to help out, to hear your story, and convey warmth through a smile and a safe place to sleep. If I can't devote ample time to my guests, though, does that make me a bad host? I hope not, and I desperately want to work around this.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I saw an Yakuza birthday party in Japan, where the birthday boy was stripped naked and then beaten, lovingly I suppose it was, by laughing friends. It truly was odd. I was confused, and and scared for his safety, but in the end we all shared a drink.
I suppose some people are just really, really close friends.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love to meet people who have succeeded in narrowing down, or streamlining, their passions. I feel like I have too many interests on my hands, which makes me a colorful character, but spread-thin at best. If I'm traveling, I can help you speak a few languages, teach you various dance steps, or how to play the haegum or the cello or the djembe... but, I would be at a loss to tell you what was most important to me! Guidance is always appreciated.
