3. I am doing CS in my free time with people I find interesting. Don't take request denial personally, shortly I am sometimes just busy.

Couchsurfing is for free. But I am not a hotel/hostel. If you want to just sleep over (stay for night), take a shower, eat my food, get drugs, have "fun" etc... If you want to do all that, just go somewhere else.

In general, I am interested in hosting people who run own businesses or are digital marketers/software developers. I want to host people with whom I have genuine something in common.

ABOUT ME

Hi! My name is Andrej. I used to be the corporate guy who dreams of traveling the world. In last few years I made several steps which push me in the right direction in life. It took me 30 years to get my shit together and figure out what I want to do with my life.

After I quit IBM corporation, I was for a year volunteer in Germany; working as an activist for tolerance during refugee crisis in 2016. Leaving corporate for a year doing civil service change me for life. Best decision ever. After I finished I moved to Prague and worked for Siemens in Norimberg. Currently, I am a software developer in one amazing small company where we are all like a giant family. We can have dogs in office ...

I love software development and like to crack practical problems with my software application. I would like to focus more on Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence in the future. I am interested in NLP, high-frequency trading and recommendation systems as their subfields.

I write several blogs about various topics. They generate me some income but would also go on full throttle into creating my own publishing company/agency.

PHILOSOPHY

I value freedom - free will and self-determination, freedom of speech and freedom of movement. And I hate anybody who denies these principles to others.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I host, I surf, I encourage others to try CS and spread its ideas further. Occasionally I am helping foreigners or participate in language exchange meetings.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

CS is a wonderful instrument for finding both places to stay as well as meeting new people and discovering the world!

I heard plenty of good couch-surfing stories, few bad ones. Fortunately, I had never had a bad one. We can talk about when you will come :) At all, CS experiences enriched me and I think these exp. made a better person. So I seek new opportunities to couch-surf.

I believe that CS experience should not be for individuals only about surfing-taking from the community. But even about hosting-giving back in equivalent volume.

If you host me, we should eat good dinner with wine and board game during the summer sunset :) That was actually the best thing I've done with my host. Thankx John.

If you want to be hosted, please put password `42` to your request, your chances will be higher. I got a lot of requests and I choose people to stay in my home. I do not like CSers who are looking only the place for sleep. I can recommend you hotels or hostels.

If you are reading these lines you should already have an idea what kind of person I am. Nevertheless, I expect from surfers the same - clear photo, verification, good personal description in your profile. CS is a mutual thing, not charity.

Interests

I used to be chief of dinosaurs farm. Unfortunately, after one bloody incident involving velociraptor and my neighbors, I change my mind and quit the Jurassic Industry theme park for good.

Music, Movies, and Books

"People who live alone have time to read books" - sentence said by one of my best friends. It is so true. My favorite authors are - E. M. Remarque, E. Hemingway, T. Pratchett. I read even other authors, mostly their best pieces. In average I read a book per half year, really like sci-fi and books based on facts.

I do not own television and I am glad I got rid of it. I used to be a huge fan of movies but nowadays I go to the cinema only for US blockbusters. I like movies with a good story.

My playlist is full of various bands and songs - quick example - Daft Punk, Bob Sinclar, Chemical Brothers, Empire of the Sun, ..., Amy Winehouse, Woodkid, Avicii, Aloe Blacc, ... , The Doors, Beetles, Abba, Lana Del Rey.

My secret wish is to spend summer closed in London music club :)

Time is the most valuable thing in our lives. Life is short, do not waste it on things, try to find what do you like and you are good in it. And do it! It can take you decades and plenty of bad decisions on the way. But eventually you will find it and you will get peace in life.

People and human relationships are source of biggest happiness and sorrow in our life. If loved one leave you or let you down - never fall, always fight! That is what we as mankind do, we fight!

And in the end set your goals higher than anybody else. Because even when you fail, you will fail above everybody else.

Live your life the way that you will die in a better world than in the one you have born into.
