About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Go, see, meet, share, learn, enjoy and live... in the amazing city of Granada !

ABOUT ME

As the result of a mixed couple ("Democratic" Republic of Congo and France), I was born to share and learn from different cultures... That's probably why I ended up in Andalucia, beautiful mosaic of muslim, jewish, catholic, gipsy and african roots!

The philosophy of Couchsurfing is a blessing for me and it's my duty to help building this community with your help !

PHILOSOPHY

COMPARTIR ES VIVIR !

"Il y en a qui ont le coeur si vaste qu'ils sont toujours en voyage..." Jacques Brel
("Some people have such a wide heart that they're always travelling")

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Speaking english thanks to my studies and a lot of american roomates, my mother tongue is the french so I can definitely help you to learn these two languages... hoping you could help me to improve my portuguese too !
And after 9 years in Spain, now I can say that I can quite properly speak spanish (that what my spanish friends say at least haha)...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Using Couchsurfing during my road trip around Spain changed everything in my way to travel. Meeting these amazing couchsurfers in Granada changed everything in my life. The 3 days I was supposed to spend in the city turned into... 12 years already! Just be careful if you're visiting Granada, IT'S A TRAP!

Interests

Everything I can learn and discover...

And among so many things, cook, wander with my camera in the side streets of an unknown city without a map and getting lost (can do that easily with a map too), play basketball, write down in my agenda all the cultural events of Granada and go to 6% of them, spend hours in the library to read everything except what i'm supposed to, find hidden spots or graffiti (especially in Granada), watch the sunset with good friends, hike, desperately learn how to play guitar, watch excellent or incredibly lame movies, and much more...

Music, Movies, and Books

I have a lot of playlists of very different styles of music on my Spotify. Including a "hall of shame" playlist that would definitely prove to you how open minded I can be. But you don't want to hear that. No you don't. Generally, brazilian music, 90's hiphop, soul or nu soul, jazz, blues, grunge, and french artists like Brassens or Gainsbourg will always be on my top list. And ANYTHING related to Quincy Jones AKA my God. Also, I'm in love with the flamenco culture, especially its untold roots : living during 4 years in the Sacromonte, the gipsy neighborhood of Granada full of cave-houses, didn't give me any other option.

During a rainy and lazy sunday, I can watch A Bout de Souffle from Jean-Luc Godard, followed by The Goonies, The Big Lebowski, then any Charlie Chaplin, Jacques Tati, Kurosawa, Wes Anderson, Tim Burton or any Miyazaki movies... And masterpieces such as Dinocroc VS Supergator or the Attack of the Giant Moussaka are always an option. I have to confess : I'm a movie geek.

Former student in litterature, I read. A lot. I wouldn't even know what authors I should put here. There's so many. So I'll only tell you that Le Petit Prince from Antoine de St Exupery is the book following me since I can read. Always on my shelf, no matter where I am in the world, the different levels of reading of this classic will always amaze me... And now I could add a quote from this book but that would be too much passion.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Nothing yet but so much already...

Teach, Learn, Share

As a Granada lover and local, I can show you around, from the best graffiti spots to the most beautiful hidden locations (there's so many in the city!), without forgetting the most classic but still amazing points of view and monuments... Aaaand the best tapas bar. Because eating is the story of my life.
