About Me

Hi Everybody! I'm Haeryoung Lee from South Korea. I know my name is hard to pronounce, so just call me Hailey. It will be much easier :) I came to USA as an exchange student. I'm attending Alverno college which is located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

I'll be 21 on may, and I'm so excited about that. In Korean age, I'm 22 , but American age, I'm 20. I'm really outgoing and lively person. And I'm the person who love to do new hings and meeting new people. So it was hard to wait for 21. Now I can hangout at night and have fun! ( I love have fun with beer and friends)

I wish we could be a good friend :-)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Since I like experience new things and meeting new people, I'm sick of staying at dormitory. So, I planned to travel West coast area during the summer vacation.

I booked few places to stay, then I realized it would be just 'tour' the city. You know, just sightseeing famous spots, take some pictures, go to famous restaurant,,, But those are not I really want for. I want to experience local life, pretty streets and parks, delicious restaurants that is hidden. Moreover, I want to know about who you are, and your life. Just as person by person. I want to be a friend with you.

Interests

Gosh I cannot pick one interest in my life. All of the things related to me are my interests. I'm addicted in doing new thing, so my interests change time by time.LOL

These days, one of my big interest is house party. In Korean, it is not common to have house party in home. We just hang out with friends and have fun at the bar. House party is quite new thing to me right now so I'm interested about that. I love to know and experience new things!

Music, Movies, and Books

Since I'm major in business and design, I'm fan of business section books. For fiction area, I loved Tim bowler's books. My favorite book is 'The little girl at the window'. If you read it, it will be your favorite book. Oh, I like Dr. Seuss's books too. After I read Seuss's book, I understood why those are loved by many people.

But! I love listening to music than reading books. I downloaded itunes even my laptop is Dell. I like all music genres but not a heavy-metal. You might see my dance when you turn on the music loud. ( Right now, I'm listening Daniel Powter- Bad day)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Spontaneous trip with my family +BBQ in the beach

My family love to go to travel in sudden, so there were bunch of adventurous things that unexpected. It was so fun!!!

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm not a good singer (haha but I like to sing with friends) , beside that, I'm pretty good musician. I learned piano almost 10 years, and I can also play the violin. If you're interested in two instruments, I'll teach you basic skills :)

After I came to USA, I realized that most of foreigners really concerns about North Korea. And I also noticed how 'South Korea' is unfamiliar country in here. So, If you're interested in Koreans and our culture, I can share my experience that I spent whole life in Korea. It will be really fun ( You might feel WOW if you see some videos in youtube about Korea. I promise) :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Plus more than the things above in 'Teach, Learn ,Share' , I can cook some Korean food for you. As like I want to know about you and your local life, I want to give you an experience about my local (If you don't want to try, It's totally OK ) If it is possible to grab some stuffs in your kitchen, I'll make you Korean significant dish for you. Maybe you might heard about bulgogi (Korean barbeque) or spicy chicken soup!
