About Me
ABOUT ME
Most of the time I'm in a good mood, smiling, laughing and enjoying every day of my life.
I'm interested in meeting other people and learning about other cultures and countries. For me "culture" is not only what is written down in books but what happens in daily life.
So I'm an open- minded woman, who tries to respect other people, their independence and their different backgrounds.
Actually I feel like 50-year old but in fact me and my husband are retired now. Our children left home around 20 years ago so there is free space in the house now to host guests from all over the world.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
CS reminds me of my hitchhiking times in the 1970s.
I often went from city to city without knowing where to sleep at night. There was never any problem at all.
With hosting I can give something back for all the wonderful experiences I had a long time ago.
We would like to find and to give couches in order to meet interesting people with open minds and hearts.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My first CS experience was to surf Burcu Taskiran's couch in Istanbul, where we went also to Istanbul Regular Meeting in Kadiköy.
Interests
I am interested in seeing as much as possible of the world, in meeting people from around the world, other cultures, travelling, dancing, reading, photography. Because I am vegetarian I am interested in eating vegetarian and healthy food and exchanging recipes, in music and handicrafts like making necklaces with beautiful beads, sewing, stitching, all the things that require some creativity. I have too many ideas and projects to list them all here... hard life!!! ;)
Also I like to make music, I play a little bit piano, dulcimer and flute.
