A gal from Poland who hopes she'll never lose her childlike sense of curiosity

I love cycling and trekking but the truth is I spend most of my free time with my nose buried either in a book or my sketchbook, with my cat snuggled up next to me and icelandic music playing somewhere in the background.

Recently, I've got back to uni after a long break and now I'm working on getting my degree as an art teacher and as a painter. Thanks to the Erasmus Programme I have an opportunity to study at the University of Hertfordshire and soon I'm moving to UK to do just that.

Interests

I can't imagine my life without visual arts. I draw, paint and spend a lot of time getting inspired by and learning from artist around the world. Love for music is also a big part of my identity, however, I'm afraid my nonexistent musical talent won't ever let me do much about it. I can't even hit the right notes when I sing...

If I'm not bent over my sketchbook with my headphones on you can probably find me curled up on the sofa, with a cup of tea, watching animated movies or reading a fantasy or sf book. Or a comic book, comic books are my weakness.

I'm also a big fan of collectible dolls and dollhouses, a casual WoW player and a beginner seamstress.

Music, Movies, and Books

Scandinavian cinema: movies like Nord by R. D. Langlo and The Man Who Loved Yngve by S. Kristiansen. Tarantino movies. Animated movies, all of them. And last but not least, The Secret Garden by A. Holland - my all time favourite.

Music? Sigur Rós, múm, Ólafur Arnalds, Karin Dreijer Andersson, Vök, Immanu El and many others - I am in constant awe of how amazingly talented Scandinavian musicians are. There's something magical about their works, the sense of enormous space and freedom.

It's hard to chose my favourite books. I admire many writers and enjoy many genres. Right now I'm focused on fantasy and sf. I love worlds created by Ursula K. Le Guin and A. Sapkowski. I'm also a fan of Warcraft lore.
