Overview
About Me
TL;DR: experienced traveler, recent biology graduate, Chinese.
I grew up in a small tourist town in northeast China. My hometown has an ancient city, a small mountain, a hot spring, a beach, and an island. Growing up there makes me an adventurer. I came to the US when I was 20 years old as an exchange student, and I have ventured to 12 states across the west 3 time zones in the US, streching from the big city of San Diego, CA to the small town of Grand Marais, MN.
My adventurous spirit did not only encourage me to go out and see the world, it also led me to my career. I am a molecular biologist, and my job has been to discover the unknown pathways happening in a cell. In 2017, I was honored to give a presentation about my research at the international conference ASM Microbe in New Orleans, LA as a student. I graduated this August and I am looking for jobs. I hope traveling can help me network with people face to face, and increase chances of me finding a job.
