My philosophy of life:
• Life is a mystery to be lived, not a problem to be solved
• Own only what you can always carry with you; know languages, know countries, know people. Let your memory be your travel bag
• I had grown accustomed to life being interesting and adventure ridden and, rather childishly, I refused to believe that this must necessarily come to an end and that the rest of my life should be a sort of penance for all the reckless, irresponsible, and immensely fun things l'd done before
• Yesterday is History, Tomorrow a Mystery, Today is a Gift, That's why it's called the Present
• If you can conceive and if you believe it, you can achieve it
• If you can look, see. If you can see, observe. If you can observe, think. If you can think, act
• Twenty years from now, you'll be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bow lines. Sail away from the safe harbour. Catch the tradewinds in your sails...
