About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Working up the ladder as an IT Consultant.

ABOUT ME

** Yes, I'm back. BeWelcome wasn't what I hoped it would be and there seems to be no real alternative to CS right now... **

Hi,

one of my strongest traits of all (and that's the reason why I start with it right out of the pistol):

I like discussions about social life, psychology, politics, philosophy and the world in general. But don't expect me to quote any of the important people in that field since I know only a couple of them and I prefer to think for my own or like to listen to real people and not the dusty books. :)

My behavior is like this: sometimes I'm very quiet and on other times I'm a burst of energy. Especially when my enthusiasm or my curiosity wins. *bashfully scratching behind the ear* ^^

My studying consumes a lot of time, but I'm trying to travel more and more.

I have a lot of interests. Movies, taking pictures, reading books, talking about the world , Asia -although I have never been there, but I definitely want to visit it! - , Sports (changes constantly: running, inline-skating, volleyball, gym...) and Martial Arts. I like seeing strange persons, things and places, yes and I like to watch and talk to people and learn about them and their culture.

A thing I don't like are people who try to proselytize me since I notice such things very fast. But I like it to talk open about differences in ideology and philosophy. So, feel free to argue about it :)

My English should be ok if you are a little forgiving with me :) , from time to time I'm searching desperately for vocabs. Btw.: did you ever ask yourself why everyone on CS is an expert in English? For me an expert is someone who is really, really good in the field where he is an expert of. But since everyone who can communicate halfway decently in English here in CS poses that he is an expert, I will use this term too. Wow, I'm an Expert now! \(^_^)/

If you like to know more about me please ask what ever you like!

PS: If you google me: there is another guy with the same name as me. Be aware: I do not own a public blog and the only organization I'm a member of is the federal agency for technical relieve (THW)..

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

When there is a chance I try to tell the people about my Couchsurfing experiences and what Couchsurfing means to me, although they always have this special glance after that in the eyes. Kind of a mixture of scepticism, curiosity, daydreaming, worries and trying to put the concept in the right box of their world believe.

Beside that I'm hosting, surfing and used to organizing CS events in the Bonn group (before CS became C$). Back then it was a daily part of my life.

Music, Movies, and Books

"Kein Pardon" by Hape Kerkeling & Fight Club. And the strong stuff: Clockwork Orange, The Motorcycle Diaries (in German: Die Reise des jungen Che), Ben X und Zhan. gu (ge: Die Töchter des chinesischen Gärtners).

In addition I like Animes, CG animated Movies on Youtube and a lot of other stuff. What I don't like are horror movies.

I like comics, fantasy books and cyber punk.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Living through a story that rivals most good movies.

Observing a fellow couch surfer from India who learns to cut and smear his first German bread roll.

And I've traveled to Georgia next to Russia. What really impacted my life though was my travel to Ethiopia in Africa.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to use a camera in an advanced way (Photoshop included) and how to sort numbers in a dozen ways ;)

In addition I can show you some basics on Karate, Volleyball and Running. Plus I can tell you a lot about sports theory.

I would like to learn how to dance, how to speak Japanese, about rhetorics, about management and business and generally whatever you like to show me!

I'm interested in knowledge you got in your studies or job, too. You will surely not bore me with that :)
