About Me

I'm 29 and Canadian but have lived in England for 9 years, and previously lived in Spain as an au pair. I’m a charity worker (neurodiversity), love to travel, impulsively get tattoos I can’t afford, and I love to cook and go out to restaurants! I’m quite introverted but always up for a beer or a tinto de verano and won’t stop talking once I start😂🍻

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Meet exciting people and experience places from a local perspective. Quiero inmerser en la cultura y intercambiar nuestra linguas.

I’ve stayed with 2 lovely Couchsurfing hosts before in Valencia (with an Italian woman) and Granada (with a Brazilian woman) and I enjoyed those experiences far more than staying in hotels/hostels. I’ve also met a girl from Saudi Arabia through here and ended up staying with her for the rest of my trip in Ibiza instead of alone in my hostel.

I’m quite shy at home but love making new friends while travelling. My last trip was to Alicante and I spent the trip with girls from Germany, Finland, and China who I met through a Facebook group. I much prefer travelling alone and connecting with people where I am than travelling together with a friend.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love watching sci-fi movies/shows, comedies (mostly romcoms) and psychological thrillers (as long as they aren’t horror!). Current obsession is The Last of Us. My music taste is all over the place- 00s pop, indie, lofi, R&B, don’t really have a specific taste. Current favourites are Chappell Roan and Post Malone.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I’d lived in 3 countries (plus 2 different Canadian provinces) by the time I turned 20.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach about nature and camping, yoga, English, cooking, and neurodivergence.

I'd like to learn how to cook new foods from different cultures, and anything I can about the city I'm in!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Travel stories over a glass of wine, a meal, English language, the alphabet in ASL & BSL, information and advice about neurodiversity!

Even though I’m not able to host (because I live in a houseshare in a not so exciting location), I would be happy to return the favour by either meeting up if you’re ever in London, or would be happy to take you on road trip for the day if you wanted to venture out of London to a surrounding city.

I’m a 30-min train from Waterloo and could take you places like Brighton, Oxford, Reading, Portsmouth, Stonehenge! Or some local gems like Frensham Pond, Cowdry Estate, Worthing Beach, Hayling Island, Arundel Castle, or Guildford itself is a nice town for a peruse. :)

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Dominican Republic, England, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Morocco, Netherlands, Portugal, Scotland, Spain, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States, Vatican City State, Wales
