Hey everyone! Last year I traveled across the United State from California to New York to be on a trail maintenance team in the Adirondacks after graduating from college. This year, I'm finally headed back to California! I will be headed back to CA from North Carolina where I worked leading trail crews in the Blue Ridge Parkway in the summer and have returned as a WWOOFer for the second time on a farm near Raleigh. I love traveling, experiencing new things and meeting new people. I graduated with a degree in outdoor recreation and have a strong passion for the outdoors. I'm one of those old school - play outside, spend as little time in front of the TV kind of people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Well, I don't currently have a couch, but if I did I would open it up to travelers like myself! I think couchsurfing is a great way to experience how life really is in a certain place. I love getting to know locals and try to stray away from tourist traps as much as possible. While traveling across the US I think this is a great way to see the real America.

Interests

Anything outdoors. I haven't rock climbed in awhile, but I used to do it all the time. Gardening, farming, kayaking, backpacking/hiking, drinking craft beer, traveling.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like country, mostly. But I listen to a bit of everything really (not so much R&B/hip hop though). I'd have to say my favorite movie is Happy Gilmore. I'm a non-fiction book kinda girl.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The Trifecta Challenge in Southern California. Snowboarded in the mountains, surfed the Pacific, and rock climbed in the desert all in 24 hours.

I love to learn! Whether it's about people's hobbies or their favorite kind of beer - I'm all ears. I'm a curious person and won't be afraid to ask questions. I can teach you about backpacking, mountaineering, rock climbing...outdoorsy things. And how to build trails. That's a passion of mine.
