I've been travelling since July 2018, with a 3 month break inbetween. In 2010 I travelled 6 months in Asia going to 8 countries.

I'm a social worker and mostly within family violence support services and women's advocacy. I'm a metal head and enjoy some punk tunes too.
I'm not sure when I'll return to Australia just yet. Maybe I'll run out of money!
When people are asked to describe me (because I am hopeless at writing about myself in these things so I got help) they often say - cheerful, chilled, easygoing and happy with an unmistakable laugh. I'm a bit bogan so if you want to see some deadset Australian accent and sayings - I'm Tasmanian and your guy!

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

To meet other people of course, take adventures beyond just the cities and to have a laugh with others.
I've done alot of couch surfing and hosting, but not via this website. Most of it has been looking after a friend-of-a-friend, bands playing in the area and just hosting a get-together and letting people stay if they miss their last mode of transport home.
I am pretty easy with where I can stay. I've crashed at squats, camped etc. I'm also good at sleeping on overnight transport!

I am pretty easygoing, I am not great at rigorous schedules or having high expectations. Of course I will work around you and respect you will need to go about your life, but I am also here to travel and have fun beyond staying with you.
Sometimes I am also pretty shy and awkward, hopefully this just makes you laugh, which I am totally fine with.

When it comes to human rights, advocacy and social work, I do have a particular interest in and specialise in family and domestic violence services, sex worker and LGBTIQ+ advocacy and rights and ethics and law.
I hope to undertake a law degree when I return, home because I am often in the court supporting clients. I am very passionate about the rights of others and having their voices heard.

Throughout my trip I have been looking for local metal, punk or rock shows. If you know of any, please let me know. We could go together. Music is one of my passions, and I have some friends waiting at home to drag me into doing some vocal work and face my fears of stage fright.

I'm pretty active, I like hikes, playing netball, yoga and I started learning pole dancing (omg you get so strong from it).
