ABOUT ME

I am a 32-year-old researcher studying the "Molecular Biology of marine phytoplankton". I am living in Norwich, UK. I like to meet new people from all over the world and think that I am very open-minded. I would describe myself as a calm person but always enjoy the company of other people.

PHILOSOPHY

My motto is "We cannot discover new oceans until we have courage to lose sight of the shore" (André Gide). I think you always have to encourage yourself to go on adventures and gain new experiences.

I CouchSurfed in the UK and met great people. I have made only extremely good CouchSurfing experiences.

Interests

I am addicted to all kinds of water sports, especially Windsurfing, sailing and SCUBA diving. I play handball and basketball and go swimming.
I also do Biodanza (www.biodanza.co.uk) and Salsa dancing. I like painting and photography. I am very interested in meditation, too.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like the movie Hithhiker's Guide to the Galaxy based on the book of Douglas Adams. Another book and corresponding movie I really liked was Parfume by Patrick Suskind.
I like Latin music as well as reggae and electronic stuff (e.g. Cafe del Mar). I would say I am very open in terms of music.
I like books from Paulo Coelho.
