About Me

I just moved back to Columbia, MO to be with the love of my life. Before that, I worked in D.C. for a radio station. I've been to several countries, and my favorite would have to be Berlin, Germany. I can listen to you speaking German all day long and feel right at home. I will not understand a single word that you say, however. It's just that it's going take me back to my beautiful autumn in 2007, one of the happiest moments of my life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would never have known about this community had it not been for my roommate in college. We had a very nice, spacious apartment in the middle of nowhere (Columbia, MO, basically a college town in the middle of nowhere) and believe me, I would have loved couch-surfing with us. One time we hosted this young man, who drove all the way from Denver to Missouri to study (and be with his girlfriend). We took him contra dancing, it's the best. You should do it if you ever find yourself in the Midwest.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have never couch-surfed anywhere but hosted many.

Interests

I love singing, imagine that, and good stories. I believe everybody has stories to tell and they're worth listening to.

Music, Movies, and Books

Oldies but goodies!
I read mostly fiction and sometimes a good non-fiction. My favorite fiction book is Immortality that a parting friend gave me. Non fiction favorite is In Cold Blood, it's truly a masterpiece.
I love movies, and I can be very picky. However, if you haven't seen it, you should definitely go watch Boyhood. It's amazing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Putting my friend's wish onto the Wailing Wall in Jerusalem.
Almost drowned in Dead Sea (yes!)
Going to the border between Bangladesh and India.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Vietnamese food. I cook!
Stories, I have lots of stories!
I can also take really good portrait pictures! You would love them :)

Countries I’ve Visited

Bangladesh, Germany, Netherlands, South Korea, Thailand

Countries I’ve Lived In

Germany, Israel, United States, Viet Nam
