About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Donating 365 days to traveling the world creating awareness for Habitat for Humanity

ABOUT ME

Just looking for a couch and to meet some amazing peaceful people!

a little about me, i am going to be leaving new zealand on the 14th of may 2014, arriving in buenos Aires, where i will start my journey of 365 days i plan to couchsurf and cut hair along the way, my first goal is to do at least one haircut a day, and to create as much positive publicity for Habitat for Humanity. Starting in Buenos Aires i will head to monte video and traveling north up the east coast of brazil i plan to stop in Porto Alegre, florianopolis, Joinville, Paranagua, Vitoria, Itamaraju and Porto seguromy. after the match i then start my next mission to reach Cusco by the 26th of july where i will be joining a trek and hiking mach pichu. whilst on this journey i would like to visit sao Paulo, Foz do Iguacu, Campo Grande, Bonito, Pantanal, Puerto Quijarro, Santo Cruz, Secure, Potosi, Uyuni, La Paz and Puno. From there the south american leg of my journey will start to wind down as i head towards Lima where i depart on the 25th of August to New York! for 3 weeks and then iceland for 5 days and onto Europe. Amsterdam and through London, France, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Slovenia, Croatia, Denmark, Poland, Greece. With the final leg joining the Trans Siberian in Moscow and making my way through Mongolia to Beijing!

My first goal is to travel the world with my scissors for 365 days cutting and styling hair to help locals become aware of great humanity organisations and see if i can create a fund to help assist others to go and help volunteer, maybe you have some contacts that would be interested in doing so if only they new who to contact you could introduce me to them!!! Don't hesitate to contact me if you think you could help!!

I would love to help with anything i can possibly do for you or your community to help create happiness. i feel very fortunate to be able to travel the world and be able to hopefully make a difference in other peoples lives!!

my second goal is to raise $365 000 online through my website hairgypsy365.com where anybody around the world can follow me through video blog "chronicles of the hairgypsy365", did i mention i will have my go pro camera?? I'm just looking for couch and to meet some amazing peaceful people. As of april i will start releasing videos. Through Facebook, You Tube, and Pics on Instagram where you can all follow me as the HairGypsy365. In a way i would like to create a documentary of my travels working with local charities and organisations couch surfing all the way to meet local people in there own environment. I love meeting people and learning from there experiences.
thanks for taking the time to read my profile and i look forward to possibly meeting you along the way!!

peace and love the

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

When i am at home I really enjoy hosting at least once a week, while i am travelling i have really enjoyed the weekly drinks in Porto Alegre Brazil, and New York, and hopefully a few more places yet, also the events that are run by others are always a great way to meet locals and other travellers.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Going to be visiting a friend in Uruguay, who I picked up as a hitchhiker 18 months ago, ended up taking him to our brothers wedding that we were heading to, had an awesome party he was supposed to be heading further south and we said it would be silly if he wasn't to join us for the party what an epic weekend, not to add my friend in argentina I will be visiting who we meet that night at 1am trying to hitch a ride, we said best you join the party and we have a couple of couches for you boys to sleep, ha party untill the sun comes up what a true laugh and can't wait to see these guys agin soon.
