About Me

CURRENT MISSION

You have't live life if you haven't dine in the desert, pray in the coldness, and love in the wilderness.

ABOUT ME

Mr Brightside

Inquisitive. Curious. Open-Minded.

An INFP

I eat.sleep.rave.repeat.

Love life. Love December.

I'm a quiet (I think but others doubt it) guy from tiny Singapore whom has passed his quarter-life crisis, found some sort of stability, and decided that the world is his playing field. Currently I have a full-time day job, but will do try to check out new places whenever possible. During my free days, I dabble in a bit of amateur photography, on a look out for new indie and electronic tunes, read travelogues at coffee joints, have a few rounds of whisky dry at the clubs or just laze on my couch watching Nat Geo channels.

PHILOSOPHY

To Keep discovering. To Keep learning.

Feed the intellect
Fill the soul

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Would love to meet new people from all over the world and of various backgrounds.

Let's exchange stories, see where we click, plan our next move, set out on an adventure, and have fun.

We could both probably learn a new trick or two, or pick up a new language from each other.

Let's do this!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm new to this. Started out with starred hotels, gradually moved on to hostels and then shared dorms. Please excuse me for my awkwardness if any, as I'm still figuring out this and its general ethics.

Interests

Travel. Culture. Current Affairs. Adventures. Festivals. Photography. Music. Nightlife. Advertising. Food. Lifestyle. Fashion. Everything about the world.

Would be keen to learn more on Thailand and South America, including the languages.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Just one?

I remember making an unplanned trip to Koh Rong Island Cambodia. It was pitch dark and faraway, and we skinny- dipped under the most amazing stars among glowing phosporescent planktons.

Tommorrowland music festival in Boom, Belgium was memorable too. Met a lot of amazing people over that one weekend, flying tents, flooded and muddied fields, and Armin van Bureen in the thunderous summer storm.

Climbed Mount Taebaek hungover in South Korea, in negative freezing temperature. The sunset from the peak was magnificient but the descend in the dark wasn't fun at all. I could have died frozen.

Teach, Learn, Share

Can I interest you with a few Malay phrases, or share with you stories from my travels over mediocre Singapore-styled butter sugar toasts prepared by yours truly.
