Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first guest was Ted from Wisconsin, and I couldn't have asked for a better start to my CS adventure. Since then it's been a wonderful stream of travelers, bringing stories, lessons, goofiness and friendship to my apartment. I had my first taste of being hosted when I visited Barcelona and met with 3 wonderful couchsurfers there for drinks and nights out. Loved it!

Interests

Painting, photography, illustration, wood-working, dance, foreign cultures, languages, sports, motorcycle travel. Too many interests and not enough time. I need to quit my desk job at some point.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Stumbling along at 2am at the base of Mt. Sinai with a friend, trying to find the path leading up, but it's too damn dark! Finally coming across a group of camels and their keepers, hiring two camels to make the slow climb up in time for sunrise. On the way up being completely blown away by the massive number of stars in the sky, and seeing them not just above me, but straight ahead, like a beautiful curtain of light.

Teach, Learn, Share

Can teach you to illustrate a map, ride a motorcycle, make a paper globe, hem your pants. Would like to learn how to play guitar, tell some good jokes (which I'll forget two minutes after I hear them), make food from your country or state, make interesting mixed drinks.
