I am a PhD candidate who is bogged down with modernist British fiction and phenomenology and trying to find my way out! I am much into philosophy even though my major is in English. So basically I am wrestling pretty hard in those two fields for the time being - until my PhD is complete (if ever) :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am currently visiting Philosophy Department at WVU as a visiting researcher and working on my dissertation. My research lasts until October 10th, 2015. And unfortunately my lease at WVU aparts ends July 31st, 2015. So I just need a place to stay at/rent a room/apt/any place actually from August 1st to October 10th. It does not have to be a full 2 months and 10 days. If you can offer just 1 month, it would be great!

Books, British fiction (esp. modernist fiction), philosophy (esp. phenomenology and existentialism), guitar-playing, counter-strike (back in the day I played as a part of a team in the tournaments)

Teach, Learn, Share

As a native speaker of Turkish, I can teach Turkish :) It would be fun (at least for me) to be teaching it! Also I have a more or less good command of French (at least in terms of reading comprehension) so I would love to learn and study French with someone or simply teach what I know about it!
