关于我
Hi, I’m Hakim from India.
By profession, I come from the world of finance and have spent most of my adult life in high-intensity corporate roles. What matters more here is that I’m at a stage in life where I’m trying to travel more intentionally and understand what kind of life I want to build next.
This is only my second long-form solo trip, so in some ways I’m still new to this style of travel, but I’m deeply curious, open-minded, and the kind of person who likes to really immerse himself in whatever he does. I enjoy meaningful conversations, local food, walking through neighborhoods without a fixed agenda, and meeting people whose lives look very different from mine.
I absolutely love food, and one of my favorite parts of traveling is trying new dishes, local specialties, street food, and anything that feels authentic to a place. I’m always excited to explore new tastes and experiences.
I also love playing pickleball and cricket, and I enjoy connecting with people over sports, movement, and a bit of friendly competition.
My travel style is a mix of backpacking and comfort. I like hostels, meeting fellow travelers, and spontaneous plans, but I also appreciate quiet mornings, a good bed, and places with character. I’m drawn to mountains, beaches, slow travel, and experiences that help me understand both a place and myself a little better.
I’ve traveled to places like Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore, Kerala, parts of North India, Uttarakhand, Kashmir, etc. These trips made me realize that I enjoy travel not just for sightseeing, but for perspective. I’m especially interested in conversations about work, reinvention, culture, food, and how people choose to live their lives.
As a guest, I’m respectful, clean, independent, and easygoing. I value people’s homes and time. I’m happy to share stories, meals, and conversations, but I also understand personal space and boundaries. I’m the kind of person who will genuinely appreciate local recommendations and try to understand the rhythm of your city rather than just rush through a checklist.
What I can bring to the table: good conversations, curiosity, sincerity, and probably a lot of questions about your city, your culture, and your favorite local food spots. If we meet, I’d much rather talk about life journeys, ideas, business, travel, food, sports, and what keeps people motivated than just exchange small talk.
At this point in life, travel feels less like a break and more like an exploration of the next chapter. So if you enjoy meeting thoughtful, grounded people who are curious about the world, I think we’ll get along well.

What I can offer is simple: warmth, respect, curiosity, and good company.
I’m the kind of traveler who likes connecting with people, not just collecting places. I enjoy meaningful conversations, discovering local food, hearing people’s life stories, and understanding the rhythm of a city through the people who live in it. I also love trying new things, so whether that means street food, a long walk, a game of pickleball, or just an honest conversation over tea or coffee, I’m usually in.
I’m also an easy guest — clean, considerate, independent, and very respectful of space, time, and house rules. More than anything, I’d like to bring a genuine exchange and a positive presence into your home.
