About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To keep expanding my perspective on life and things..and be happy :)

ABOUT ME

I grew up travelling to different parts of the world due to my fathers work, and I've also done plenty of solo travel in my life too... Europe, South East Asia and now currently Couchsurfing for the first time in the States and Mexico.

I currently live in Melbourne where I've lived for the last 6 years apart from a few short stints interstate with work. I've been on and off involved in the Melbourne Couchsurfing community over the last few years and I've hosted a few events and attended several parties and meet ups.

I enjoy surrounding myself with people who can bring something new to the table. I shy away from arrogant, self indulgent and insular individuals but at the same time I've learnt that not everyone is perfect.

I don't watch much TV unless I've specifically downloaded it to watch. I've tried to but I get too distracted and find myself switching my music on and getting lost in that instead, or reading news/blogs/reviews etc etc by electronic sources. I am addicted to my phone and I am trying to overcome this by breaking away and enjoying nature more often.

I love being around people but can also appreciate my own space now and then.

I am also a massive foodie, cheese, wine and coffee lover. I love to share ideas with my friends and often host dinner parties at my place. I once hosted a Mexican Fiesta at my place where almost 20 Couch Surfers squished into my 1 bedroom apartment for a pot-luck dinner. We laughed and drank the night away and the people who I met there I now call my close friends.

I hope to keep on living these experiences, no matter where I am in the world. I truly believe these simple enjoyments in life: music, food, laughing are what makes the world go round.

PHILOSOPHY

Such a cliche but so true: "Everything happens for a reason". And I've witnessed this on so many occasions where I have not been able to obtain my goals and then WHAM something so much better comes along. So every time I take a fall I always remember that the universe knows what's best :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've hosted plenty of times and been to many many CSing events where I've met people who I see on a regular basis and couldn't imagine my life without. I've just begun to surf whilst in California this trip and I hope to keep surfing this amazing country, creating memories and meeting all sorts of people along my travels.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My experience has been nothing but amazing! The only thing I regret is not getting involved sooner.
