About Me
Hello! I'm Haley, a 23-year-old American currently living in Scotland. I just completed my Masters in Contemporary Art History and before I move back to my home country to start my full-time career I'm trying to fit in some much needed traveling! I clearly love art and museums, and try to go to a museum in every city I visit. I also love taking long, quiet walks, bike rides, going to the theatre and watching live comedy performances.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've always enjoyed hosting friends-of-friends when they visit Scotland, so maybe you can show me what's great about your city!
Also, I know there have been some bad CSers that do not tidy up after themselves, help their hosts around the home, and expect to be fed. That's unacceptable if you're visiting me, and I would never do that to someone else. If you host me please do not feel in any way obligated to provide anything more than a roof over my head; your company, warmth and generosity in hosting me is more than enough! I always travel with my own food, towel, linens, etc., and will happily bring along a small Scottish souvenir if you have a request!
Interests
Some fun facts about myself:
-My favourite television show is Game of Thrones and my favourite movie is Dead Poets Society.
-I want to become a professionally qualified skydiver.
-I love to dance but I am absolute terrible at it.
-I love animals and will go out of my way to pet a dog or a cat in the street.
-I shaved my head in January as a fundraising for Alice's Escapes and donated my very long hair.
-I never learned how to properly swim, but I (probably) won't drown if I try.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've run numerous 5k races, an 8k, 10k, and a half-marathon. Considering how much I hate running, that's pretty amazing!
Teach, Learn, Share
For me, traveling (and you could say life in general!) is about three things: people, photographs, and memories made. I want to see beautiful things, experience and learn about what makes your culture special, and document the journey for remembering in the years to come.
I've think that if you're willing to say "yes" often and step out of your comfort zone, that is where the real excitement and joy can be found.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Although I may seem quiet, I'm an open book! Ask me anything. I love to learn about new cultures and share stories, and especially enjoy making others laugh.
