Hello! I'm a 20-something nature nerd who caught the travel bug and hasn't recovered! I grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio, went to school at the University of Alabama for 3 years (so far), just finished up an internship with Walking Mountains Science Center in Avon, Colorado, and am back in Alabama for my last semester at UA. After graduation I'm headed back out to Colorado to continue working for Walking Mountains, and hopefully I'll be stopping at some national parks along the way!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm a college student/intern: hotels are a little out of my budget and BLM land isn't always easy to come by. I'm also excited to meet new people and learn about different lifestyles through couchsurfing!

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy bluegrass and folk type music, with some of my favorite bands being Shovels and Rope, Trampled by Turtles, and Mandolin Orange. My favorite movies are the Pirates of the Carribean trilogy and the Lord of the Rings trilogy (also some of my favorite books). My favorite book series of all time is the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy series!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One amazing thing I've done recently is hike to the top of Angel's Landing in Zion National Park. While it's not a particularly difficult hike, it was at the top of my bucket list (literally- about a week later I got a letter I had written to myself in high school that had a bucket list and Angel's Landing was the second item on it) and it felt great to check that one off!

Teach, Learn, Share

I am hoping to enter a career in environmental education when I graduate from UA. I feel that it is crucial to the health of our Earth to teach future generations a passion for environmental stewardship and responsibility, especially in a time when the environment is becoming a partisan issue rather than a global concern.
