I recently started my first job after finishing my college degree in August last year. My last class was a month long field course in Germany where I stayed for a month before traveling for two more months! It was a lot of fun and the first time I used couch surfer was in Germany. We had set the app up on my boyfriends phone and now I am back to use it again as I look for a place for me, my two sisters, and my boyfriend to stay over this weekend. We are hoping to get a spot in Nashville or Arkansas in order to see the eclipse. It was a last minute plan so we are holding onto a thread of hope to get this once in a lifetime experience. A little bit about us:
Me: I like to think of myself as charismatic, empathetic, and a bit creative. I'm not sure if the people I'm traveling with would agree. I'm a 23 year young Scorpio doing research on water after studying water resources for four years. I love the outdoors, good food, and being active to makeup for all the food.
My older sister, Cayla: she is a 25 year young libra. Although I'm not sure I should use the word young as she is an old soul but don't let that make you doubt her vibrancy. Three words I would use to describe her are intelligent, energetic, skeptical with good reason, oh and not to mention adorable. Cayla is a software engineer who enjoys cycling, movies, and a high quality shot of tequila.
My younger sister, Ramsey: she is a newly 21 year young Gemini/Taurus cusp. Three words I would use to describe Ramsey are brilliant, confident, and a bit stubborn (but she won't be rude to a host unless you really ask for it) she is also super cool and also colorful! Ramsey is studying computer science and German (and is headed off to live in Germany for the next 8 months after September 4th) she enjoys playing pool, moving her booty to good tunes, and making breakfast.
My boyfriend, Jonathan: is a 24 year young Gemini. Three words I would use to describe him are adventurous, articulate, and a bit even in terms of emotional expression. Jonathan studied water resources in college, and currently works several jobs including doing drone/aerial and ground photography and videos, wall maintenance at a climbing gym, and as a barista at a coffee shop. He enjoys slacklining, climbing, and making aerial videos and photography.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

While we travel to see the eclipse, as this is a once in a Lifetime experience, we are also hoping to get in an authentic experience that shows us some of our own backyard (partly in hopes to get our little sister to want to come home from Germany and appreciate the US for the diverse culture it has but is not ever recognized for). My sisters and I have both been to Tennessee and Arkansas and loved the beauty of the cities in Nashville and Memphis and the beauty of the outdoors in Arkansas. It seemed like the perfect place to have one final summer trip.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Me: I really can think of anything amazing I have done. I assure you that now I'm aware of how little I have done and will work on that.
Cayla: is a senior software developer without even finishing college 🤓 who has studied Portuguese in Portugal and regularly performs charity with her company even with her busy schedule
Ramsey: learned to speak German fluently and as of September will have lived there three times. She also has probably had every hair color in the book 📚
Jonathan: has slacklined (tight rope walking kind of) over 500 ft tall canyons 🌄
