Hi there! My name is Haley, and I'm a 23 year old girl from Boston, USA. I'm currently living in Madrid, Spain teaching English in a school just outside of the city center. I like to travel, learn, explore new cities, have interesting conversations with new people, read, write, go out, and eat.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I was able to take some time off of work and was really hoping I could see Amsterdam since I've never been! Couch surfing is an affordable way to see a city and (hopefully) meet some cool people while doing it.

Interests

Music, Movies, and Books

I love mostly everything! I prefer non-fiction books, but also get really into sci-fi as well. I will read anything recommended to me, though. I'll also listen to or watch anything, but if you'd like some recommendations I can certainly give some depending on your interests :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I currently teach English to both children and young adults, so I am definitely comfortable teaching English :)
I've also taught spoken word poetry workshops!

I want to learn everything, especially about different cultures and new languages.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share cool stories of my time living in Boston, Copenhagen, or Madrid. I'm an open-book! I can share food and meals or any conversation over a beer or coffee. I can also share any recommendations ranging from good books to sick clubs to cool things to do in any of the cities I've been to.
