Hello! My name is Haley and I am a recent graduate of Hunter College in Manhattan. The world is very large and I want to see as much of it as I can before I can't.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have always had an immense passion for travel. I am very independent and strong-willed. It's on my bucket list to visit all 50 states in America and at least 15 countries I've never been to. There are millions of things I want to see and cultures I would love to learn about. I love meeting new people and I have always whole-heartedly believed that traveling is one of the best ways to grow as a person. I absolutely love taking adventures and doing things that challenge me both mentally and physically. I am young, and have a lot to learn, so I figured traveling was a wonderful way to start. After doing hours of research on travel programs, couch surfing seemed to be the most accessible and friendly way to experience and explore.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I took a train across the county by myself two years ago, and I’m looking to do it again this fall!

Teach, Learn, Share

Towards the end of November, I am hoping to take a train back home from New York City to San Diego, similar to the journey I took two years ago. I will be making stops in Kansas City, Missouri, Santa Fe, New Mexico and Sedona, Arizona before arriving home. I am also hoping to make a video from the experience like I did the first time around, but spend more time filming the people I meet along the way.

I would love to take some time to talk to you about your story, and possibly even film it if you’ll allow. The goal of this trip is to meet new people and learn about the stories they’re willing to share.
