About Me
CURRENT MISSION
to become a better surfer (of ocean waves), to post up and surf and explore Morocco
ABOUT ME
I am a sincere, strong, and interesting woman. I feel catalyzed by engaging new people, which is part of why I look forward to CouchSurfing. I also considering hosting an art and a pleasure, which is something that young people like myself need to embrace. I value music & jokes highly. I am not much good at either but I am a big supporter and consider them very important.
I just finished my bachelors degree at UNC Chapel Hill in global studies, which combined jazz performance, US and South Africa civil rights history, and medical anthropology. I am interested in a career aiding marginalized or at-risk populations (homeless, sex workers, drug users) but I am not sure from what lens to work from. I have recently began filming and editing video and I would like to practice that more. I have an underwater housing for my camera and
I have spent my summers dedicated to learning how to surf and I am really looking forward to dedicating more time to surfing (ocean waves) now that I have graduated. So I set up this CouchSurfing account in order to find people in California (recent surf trip) and Morocco (
PHILOSOPHY
I want to be a bridge for people to get along better and be kind to each other. I think that my person contains the ability to better difficult situations and that is my place in life. I am comfortable with who I am and I think that is good to be around.

Interests
My cool skills: I play jazz drums, some guitar and piano, I climb (have a rock wall at my house), surf, drive a motorcycle and a classic VW, I own a pet snake George (ball python), I like to play darts and pool and recently tried golfing (eek I liked it), I am a good athlete and trained for volleyball, but can also play soccer
I want to learn: piano!!!!, carpentry competency, car mechanics (I own a 1968 Karmann Ghia which I want to eventually drive from the east to west coast US), to bartend, to spearfish, to take time to read, to carve, to cook better (I can make sushi, fondue, crepes, but that's as good as I get), learn more about wine,

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Being barreled surfing North Carolina hurricanes, playing in New Orleans jazz clubs Duke, Basie, Ella and the greats played in, being atop a Rocky mountain, holding a baby bird (in a research study), talking to beautiful women, tipping well, being in a plane above the clouds, being in love, being near huge sea creatures is humbling and elating...
Teach, Learn, Share
Good question. I have only myself to share. I know some cool tricks, but I think my sincere appreciation for people is the best thing I can offer. Meeting new people and places catalyzes my love of life and I hope it has good consequences for those who impact and propel me. I have had many interesting experiences thanks to interactions with many great people and places.
