ABOUT ME

A simple Vietnamese girl loves exploring the world. My life is a collection of random things and events, which make my journey become really colorful. I was once a Language and Literature high school student before I studied Computer science, so language is not only a hobby but also my remedy whenever I'm stressed with programming and algorithms.
As I have stayed in a few countries, I am very adaptable to new cultures and I love learning the differences between cultures. I might not travel much, but once I'm in a city, I will let my soul blend with it. And climbing to the top of a city is a must whenever I move to a new town.
I am a bit reserved at first but it takes me only a few minutes to become the talkative and cheerful me. Regardless of how talkative I am, I can still be a very good listener, who can listen to your stories, even for hours. I love making new friends and helping people with my experiences.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I was once hosted by 2 Indonesian girls in Paris and once in Strasbourg by a French couple, though they were not on CS. The experience is amazing and I started thinking that it would be great to meet people who also love travelling and sharing their experiences, and that's how I want to be on CS.

Interests

Music is the voice of my emotion. People can find me fangirling over Kpop groups or being emotional with the melody of symphonic instruments and the opera vocals. I am also keen on dancing, especially Jazz and Hiphop dance. I love singing and at the moment, I am learning guitar.
Language is another piece of my soul, I love learning how people express their emotions in different languages, the root of the expressions and how a language reflects a culture and mindset.
Curious about Earth science, Geography and the relation between history and culture.
I love mapping visualization, as much as I love collecting maps from all over the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music is the no.1 hobby of my life. I listen to many genres and also music in different languages, especially Kpop and Jpop. I also love Hiphop, Alternative rock, Punk rock and Symphonic metal. Generally, I listen to music that suits my emotion at that moment.
Favorite artists: B.A.P, SECRET, Nightwish, Evanescence, Within Temptation, OneRepublic, Panic! At the Disco, Fall Out Boys, Paramore, Karmin, FLOWER, Mika Nakashima,...
I also love K-dramas, musical and action-comedy movies, eg: Rush Hour, In the Heights, Les Miserables, Master Sun...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My first trip abroad in Beijing with only 1 backpack for all my stuffs, no smartphone, only a paper map and walked for approx. 20km everyday to shuffle around the city while waiting for my Lithuanian visa. The trip was totally random and unplanned coz I only knew I had to go to China a week before the trip while being busy with all exams. I got lost once with another friend after visiting the Forbidden city and I also met a lot of cool people (including my sweet roommate) in the hostel.
