ABOUT ME

I'm a Jersey tomato on a mission -- to strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield. (And to casually quote Tennyson in my CS profile.)

It seems I'm destined to weather the economic storm by toiling in the safe house of academia till I'm 30... there are much worse things I guess. The ultimate goal is to emerge with an MD in pediatrics, which would be well worth the wait and the work, not to mention a new found ticket around the world.

Music is life and life is music, so along my journey I plan to listen and love and create and sing as much music as possible. Language is power (with music obviously being the most powerful), so I also hope to engrave my plastic neural circuitry with as many words in as many languages as I can muster in a single lifetime.

I may never grow up, I may never stop singing, I may never stop talking, and I may never stop dreaming. But those who open themselves up to love aren't inclined to give up easily, so why should I, and why should you? This is the world I live in, and let me tell you, it's wonderful.

Hopefully if we ever meet, we can share a laugh and a memory to take home.

PHILOSOPHY

Dare to know. Think for yourself. All we have between this earth and the sky are each other. Happiness was meant to be shared, so spread it around. We have a lot to learn from each other, but more in common than we realize. Love and be loved.

My surfing experience in Europe was nothing short of extraordinary. I am forever moved by the generosity and spirit of the hosts I was lucky enough to stay with... thank you all, you have changed me.

Music: everything from Mozart to Miles Davis to Incubus to Outkast to the Flaming Lips to electro house. Currently loving Ingrid Michaelson, RJD2, Dave Matthews, Iron & Wine, and Coldplay particularly.

Who doesn't love movies?? I appreciate a good romantic comedy as much as a classic heist movie. I'll watch anything from Aladdin to Scarface.

Favorite book is probably The Secret Garden. So charming and beautiful. I haven't had much time to read for pleasure since I started studying engineering... I'd love some book recommendations!

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

I've taken a shot of snake whiskey in Laos, ridden through a jungle on an elephant in Thailand, prayed at the Western Wall in Jerusalem, Israel, sang in Saint Stephen's Cathedral in Vienna, eaten the best apple streudel in the world on top of an Austrian Alp, built a bonfire on the beach in the Bahamas, stayed out all night long in Spain, lost my passport in Dublin and didn't care, pigged out at a restaurant for three hours in Florence, and I want to do so so so so so much more!
