I have many, but it comes down to exploring and making the world a better place for people, some times it means just smiling at a person who is unhappy other times its serving a free meal who can afford it.I just like making people happy

ABOUT ME

I am a happy adventurous person who loves to travel and meet people. I am currently at graduate school for international studies with a focus in Southeast Asia, specially in Indonesia. While trying to figure out my next move around the world. I love and am infatuated with culture and other lifestyles. I am very interested in the environment and sustainable life styles and try to apply sustainable practices to my life. For a warning I am a TERRIBLE speller so for give my spelling as you read on. One random thing I don't normally share as a first thing about myself but since I might be living with you, or you with me, I am a vegetarian. But while on the topic of food, I love ALL food and I also loveee to cook, or learn how to cook new things.
I am currently working on an organic farm that happens to be be owned by a great microbrewery. So, I love my home craft beers as well as my homegrown vegetables. I am also a nanny and tutor to two young kids, so I like to think I am great with kids and they keep my inner child alive :)

I travel a ton so I have only stayed with people, but when I am home I am more than open for visitors!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Once in Berlin for about 5 days, and it was great! I was working as a photographer so I was busy all day and sometimes at night but still got to hangout and make friends. Last summer I stayed with some awesome guys in Singapore two different times, they were kind enough to have me pop back in spontaneously. Between my trips to Singapore I was staying with ( now a wonderful friend) in Malaysia for a week with her family, AMAZING TIME.

Interests

I love to swim, write, read, travel, teach, learn, sail, be outside, biking, yoga, hike( small and BIG treks) cook and eat really tasty food! I also love to grow my own food and making gardens and stuff like that. Hummm I am a photographer so I love to take photos and get involved in peoples lives and their cultures: I love to learn about people! I am a big time sailor and love the water but I also looove winter sports like downhill skiing. And of course hang out with my friends and make new ones.
I have a strong interest in the environment and sustainability and well as sustainable development for people and culture as well as the environment.
I have many more interest but I feel like that is a long enough list.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I would like to think there are many great things I have done or seen in my life but one cool one is I got to hang out at an animal rescue for exotic animals ( mostly large cats) and it was just me and the one man, David, who ran it and kept it going. So for four years I got to play, hang out with and make friends with tigers, lions, cougars, wolves, bears.. you name it. And having a tiger look you straight in the eye walk to wards you and then give you a kiss and their version of a hug, is one of the most humbling things I have ever been able to experience .
