About Me

Grew up in Florida, studied art, traveled a bit, worked as a cook for some years, fell in love with snowboarding, met and married a German after 6 months of knowing each other and now I'm living in Germany. Spending my time working a little, learning German, and trying to connect some dots in life. Adapting to a "slower pace" after years of continuously moving around, and it feels really good.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I had been tumblin' around for a while and couchsurfing was a really cool experience during that time. I made some friends while traveling and while moving to a new places. I enjoyed being a moment in the lives of my hosts, and was always amazed at their openness.
I've always wanted to host. And now, being in my own place, I'm able to.

Interests

I studied art for 8 years. I've worked as a cook for 8 years. And I've been vegan for almost 14 years. Snowboarding came late to me in life but since 2014 it's been the thing that moves me, literally, from place to place.

I've had conflicts between working in plant based restaurants and living in the mountains so I can snowboard every. dang. day. My ultimate ambition is combining the two.

Music, Movies, and Books

To keep it short and sweet,
Books by Jonathan Safran Foer
Music by St. Vincent, Radiohead forever
Movies by Quentin Tarantino are always good
Ru Paul's Drag Race!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Snowboarded into the crater of a volcano, Mount Ruapeahu. Steven Tyler once ate some thing I prepared at a vegan restaurant in Denver.
