About Me

ABOUT ME
I'm from Seoul, South Korea and I have lived in Japan on and off for more than half of my life time, and also lived in New Zealand for a year during my high school. Because of these transnational backgrounds, I consider myself as a person of the world, or just unusual Korean who know almost nothing about Kpop/Korean dramas.
I speak Japanese, Korean, and English as daily language use. Other listed languages are just for my hobby and I'd like to learn them whenever I have time for myself.
I am currently enrolled in a graduate school, studying about Gender and Development, and Educational sociology as major.

As for my personality, I'm fair, honest, and social person. I always do whatever I want, and I'm also careful about cultural sensitivity, so you can tell that I'm crazy but also strict at the same time.
I'm always keen to get to know new stuff. I try to go with the flow, sometimes enjoy the moment of silence, and sometimes be adventurous rather than to plan every in details or avoiding taking risks.
Some people might find me a bit rude but that's just because I am straightforward and sometimes sarcastic. But basically I'm nice to people. ;)

PHILOSOPHY
-Be kind. For everyone is fighting a battle you know nothing about.
-Only after you understand about yourself, you are capable of knowing others.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I was impressed by my first CS host Anna in Budapest so I thought I should somehow pay forward to people by hosting while I go to school at the same time, at least with just a casual style.
And it's always nice to share life stories and amazing experiences, enhancing your view of the world!

Interests

I like learning new languages and singing very much. Excuse me and my not-so-impressive voice when singing out in the shower room. :P

What I Can Share with Hosts

To those who are considering to do CS at my place (although it's what everyone's supposed to know), I will give you my spare house key but please be respectful to my schedule, and be polite (i.e. do not come back home too late when drunk), and be independent enough not to ask me for travel guide. Instead I can give you my advice upon your tour plan because I can proudly say that I'm almost expert about Japanese culture and the life in Kansai area.

During weekdays I am mostly busy with my uni most of time. But we can share some interesting stories of our experiences. If you're lucky, you can eat my home-cooked food. ;)
