Interests

It is a question I started to ask myself more and more towards the period of my career in coaching and training. The reason I loved that industry was the people, but certainly not just the customers.

My buzz came from being able to teach people, give them new skills, watch them progress and achieve possibilities they didn’t know were possible.

My passion was people. I have no idea why, but it has and always will be.

Then there came a stage when I wanted that passion to make a real impact beyond the world I felt safe and comfortable in. That was where travel came in.

Travel motivates me to continually want to be the best version of myself. Traveling has not only been something that I do, but it has been something that has become a part of me. I have this passion to travel. Traveling is a spiritual experience. It helps see contrast, and appreciate the contrast.

You learn that places, situations, weather, culture and people can change, but it reminds you that there are certain core human qualities which are the same in all of us.

You learn that you are a speck in nature, and probably inconsequential. You learn that the life you live is not the only way to live. There are so many people with so many situations, seeking so many things. That there are many ways to live and be happy.

There is peace in knowing that what you see, feel, experience is not permanent. This forces you to seek what’s permanent. And traveling solo frequently brings one to the point where one has peace with being with themselves.

You remember how to use your instinct. When we are forced into situations which are unfamiliar, especially while traveling, we have to use our intuition, and get more in touch with ourselves.

Talking to locals in other towns, cities, countries helps develop a sense of empathy to what others are seeking for in life, and relate to things we might normally never relate to. You get a sense on how cultures have evolved and relate to one another. You learn that though everyone’s goals are different, what we seek is the same - acceptance, security, and love.

Basically it opens your mind and heart. Spending time and money on experiences is hence a million times better than spending them on possessions.

I just want to GO GO GO! Here are some of the big reasons why I travel:

1. The Food
2. The People
3. The Culture
4. The Adventure
5. The Beauty
6. The Experiences
7. The Simple Living
8. The Health
9. The Education
10. To get away from things
11. To realize the limitations of my own views
12. To able to improve a condition on someone life
13. To find my level internationally
14. To have something to talk about
15. To have nice memories
16. To appreciate home
17. To find happiness
