Overview
About Me
Australian uni student studying education, currently on an exchange semester in Hong Kong. When travelling, I love exploring historical sites, art galleries/museums, hiking spots and all the tastiest food! Also partial to cycling, finding great swimming spots, and just generally hanging out and soaking up the atmosphere.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Whenever I travel, I always want to get a real sense of place to where I am, but when I stay in hotels, I think it removes and isolates me from that place. I believe Couchsurfing has the ability to remedy that! I think it's amazing to have the opportunity to meet people from different backgrounds with different views and perspectives on life.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: listen to a lot of different stuff, but all time favourites include Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Tom Waits, King Krule, Bon Iver, David Bowie, Elliot Smith, Sufjan Stevens, Frank Ocean, Modest Mouse and Van Morrison.
Favourite movie of all time is 'Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid', tied with 'Lost in Translation'. Favourite book is 'What We Talk About When We Talk About Love' by Raymond Carver, or maybe 'No Country for Old Men' by Cormac McCarthy.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
At the moment, choosing to and organising my study over in Hong Kong, to develop myself personally and professionally (as a future teacher) is pretty amazing to me. Challenging myself by living in a completely new country with a culture very different to my home, a world away from my friends and family, is so rewarding!
Also last week I put a whole steamed custard bun in my mouth, which I think is amazing.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: I am a native English speaker, and I study education; more than happy to help people improve and practice their English speaking skills - the best way to learn is through conservation!
Learn: I think its important to learn about the history, culture and politics of a place I'm visiting from locals - it's exciting to learn as much as I can about where I'm visiting?
Share: I like to laugh, a lot. So sharing humour is super important!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I love engaging in deep discussions about lots of different topics, especially education and teaching, so I'm always good for having a conversation! Also I can cook a handful of very tasty vegetarian meals and I'm happy to share them with you if I can find and buy the right ingredients!
