I'm travelling the Americas with my lovely girlfriend Grace - https://www.facebook.com/grace.quinn.925?fref=ts. So Far we have backpacked our way through South America, soaked up the sun in Mexico and worked a ski season in Alberta, Canada. Now we are driving through the US of A in a minivan that we have converted into a mobile home. I love films, surfing, getting to know new people/cultures/perspectives/ways of life and of course travelling. When I get back to Australia I plan to piss away my degree in Marketing and Journalism by embarking on a career in film directing or cinematography. Seems logical I think.

I should say that whilst in the States I'm a package deal, in that my aforementioned girlfriend is also my travel partner. Naturally, she is a beautiful person inside and out and shares my passion for travel, culture and partying!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

A friend of a friend of Grace's (a stranger to me) opened her home to us in Portland having spotted we were travelling the States. Our experience staying with her, meeting her friends and her sharing her stories and lifestyle with us, as well as her local knowledge of the area, truly shaped our stay in Portland and allowed us a much more intimate view of the city. This inspired us to try out couch surfing!

Also the van can get very squishy and a shower once a week goes a long way.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all types of music depending on my mood. Right now I'm loving listening to some old Led Zeplin and new Robert Plant stuff, as well as Kite String Tangle, Tame Impala and some Kendrick Lamar for good measure. I love David Fincher's film's and am watching House of Cards season and the last season of Boardwalk Empire at the moment. I'm reading (and really enjoying) The Corrections by Jonathan Franzen and also like the LA Noir writer James Elroy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Back country snowboarding in crazy steep terrain in Canada with a few friends. It was my first really deep powder experience. I was a little bit stoned and a whole lot of shitting myself. It was awesome.
