About Me

Grew up in Shandong, China and lived/studied/worked in 10 countries since then. A cat & latte & photography addict who takes art classes wherever she goes!👩🏻‍🎨

My friends have have described me as intellectual, adventurous, open-minded, genuine and mature. I’m always willing to try & learn new things with new people. My dream is to bridge cultural differences by fostering a deep understanding of different cultures, societies, and humans.

I’m currently an intern in Kanazawa living with a Japanese host family. It’s been a wonderful month here and I love the city so much!

I’m only here till the end of July so I’m not accepting guests after then. To prove that you’ve read my profile, please tell me your favorite food when you send a request (mine is noodles)!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When traveling in Alexandria, I bumped into a group of Couchsurfers in a local seafood eatery and found just how amazing those people were. I soon learned about the app and started exploring the world of CS on my own.

Music, Movies, and Books

My playlist has been consistently a mixture of Japanese pop and modern instrumental pieces. My favorite singers are Aimer, Yorushika and Radwimps. I started learning organ half a year ago, so I love listening to organ pieces too. I always try to find piano & organ & traditional instrument concerts wherever I go.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

During the pandemic, I hopped on a plane to Egypt and lived in Cairo for half a year while doing school remotely from the US.
