About Me
"If your nerve deny you--go above your nerve." Emily Dickinson
I'm a recent college graduate looking to step out of the educational restraints I have been in the last 4 years. I've done quite a bit of traveling already and I lived in France in 2011 but since going back to school I haven't been able to complete an extended stay trip. I'm looking to spend the next few years traveling around the world, experiencing new cultures, and meeting new people. Can't wait!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am planning a 8 week trip to Thailand from May to July of this year. Would love some guidance from someone who knows the area and culture well.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: soft indie folky stuff
Movies: way too many to list
Books: love to read non-fiction and science related; favorite book currently is Wild by Cheryl Strayed
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
More recently kayaked 27 miles to the Gulf of Mexico with a small band of devoted kayak-ers. They've all been kayaking for 30 years and they really taught me something!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm very well versed in marine related topics and I love to share and talk about environmental and ecological topics. I have been sailing for about 20 years and am happy to teach anyone who wants to learn and has ready access to the water. I'm quiet and respectful and genuinely love conversation.
