About Me

At the moment I am living in the dorms, so unfortunatelly I cannot host you. I would be more than happy to meet up, though, especially if it's sunny outside! There is a lot to do here in Prague - sightseeing, walk along the river, beergardens, lots of parks with outdoor bbqs... I'm a cool person, so it's definitely gonna be fun!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm a student of International Politics originally from Czech Republic. My dream is to become a connecting point between people, countries and economies - and for that I'm first planning to travel the world and see and feel every culture for myself! ;)

Music, Movies, and Books

Me, I always seek something interesting all over the genres. Here I can get stuck on a stupid pop song, that just has a very clever riff; get all melancholic with a slow folk or classic, admire some dubstep violin masterpiece or dance the night away to a weird indie funk band :D

Movies are no exception! I especially have a thing for the kind of usually mystical, arty movies that break the "traditional storytelling" form - better still if there's action or great message or hidden meaning or something to attract me! These include Tarantino's (Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill, Inglorious Bastards, etc.), Pan's Labyrinth, Amelia from Montmartre, The Inception, The Atonement, La Vie d'Adele, Call Me by Your Name. For some reason I also have a thing for Fred Astaire ;)

Now don't get me started on books.. basically all I ever cared for when at home ill as a child was a good story of whatever hero or universe there has ever been invented :D I've never been too keen on classics, for the simple reason that the form and development seemed to me so predictable I wondered why the author bothered finishing it (that's actually probably quite harsh, sorry :D ). Right now I especially reach for the book that always keeps me in pleasant suspense and doesn't even have to go as far as crazy new worlds and horrible murders to do it ;) - Bradbury, Gaiman, Murakami, Eco, Pratchett, Gaarder... usually contemporary world fiction, sometimes old school sci-fi and I love an occasional fantasy or two :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbed and descended the Table mountain in South Africa at sunset, paddled through a summer waterlily lake in Sweden, fell in love with Japanese food, temples and people, travelled Europe up and down, and roadtripped the West of Canada and the U.S. ! :) There are still so many places to see and I'm always itching to go somewhere new!
