About Me

This section seems so strange to me. Like, hello. I was named my name on January 23, 1996. That name is Hana. Boom!
Okay, time to be serious.
I love the simplistic mindset that traveling creates. Like the mass portion of humanity, I'm in the game to explore this world of our. I'd like to push that energy into a place where I can help the world a bit more than I'm hurting it. As of now, I'm just appreciating it all. If you're slightly goofy, you will probably bring out my silly side and I think we'll get along!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think it's quite awesome how an app can enable us all to connect and meet people we probably wouldnt have stopped to get to know on the street. It gives us the opportunity to share time for a short while and learn a bit more about those people who would of otherwise been a stranger. We're here to connect a bit, aren't we??
I started up on here through a friends recommendation in Europe. Fancy travels, I know. Naturally, it took me to a lot of really cool places. Like many of you guys, I'd be stuck in a town that was foreign to me in every sense of the word and fellow couch surfers and hosts came to my rescue. Damn, I wish I was the one to come up with this app. It's a bit brilliant, isn't it?! Nevertheless, glad it is here. I'm headed out to New Zealand in just a few days and truth be told, I have close to no idea why. I just want a place to hike, so I'm sure I'm headed in the right direction. Once I find a place to rent out there, I'll be accepting guests happily, but as of now, I'm looking for friendly faces who want to help a lost one out. Thanks for reading!

Interests

To expand on my why I'm here, I want to hike. That's mostly what's on my mind, but I like other things too, I hope? I grew up singing a bunch of songs that I hated, like choral pieces by Bach, but thankfully, that's all just translated into a profound interest in where music has gone from there. Nothing against Bach! Talented man, clearly.

Music, Movies, and Books

The impossible question.
I'm not incredible well read. I was the kid who spark noted all the high school reading assignments. That being said, I'm reading Ishamel right now as well as Modern Romance by Aziz Ansari. It seems like whatever I'm reading is my favorite, so there they are.
For music, I've been listening to material with a touch of folk. Classics like John Denver don't get old but Haunted Windchimes are cool. Same with Elephant revival. Dig some Bon Iver, Four Seasons, Gregory Alan Isakov, the Head and the Heart, Jack Johnson, M. Ward, Millk Carton Kids, Otis Redding, Pokey LaFarge. Woah alphabetized. Many more. Okay, done with this question.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I felt proud of myself for bungee jumping, but looking at the pictures, I was the one trying to find something to grab. Still awesome?

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you basics on most all things crafty, or maybe show you a few yoga poses, but for the most part, I want to learn how others live and, of course, have a good time.
I love doing dished. Seriously. Cleaning is my jam. Anyone want to hang ;)
