ABOUT ME

My name is Hana and I live in Melbourne, Australia. At 24 I'm proud to say I've traveled 5 continents and have seen approximately 10% of the world.

I am an adventurous traveler and aim to stay off the beaten path wherever I go. I like to volunteer my time in the countries that I visit. Not only do I get to see more and learn more about the people and culture, but it's also my own way of traveling responsibly.

I am often faced with negative views on my travel choices.
"You're going to ____ alone! But you're a girl!"
Yes, I am female.
Yes, I travel alone.
No, it doesn't scare me.
No I've never had a bad experience to put me off traveling.
Yes, I do take safety precautions.

I am a bit of a Geek. I am obsessed with Harry Potter. I love to snowboard. I knit all the time and always have my nose in a book. I caught the travel bug at 11 years old and haven't stopped pushing the limits since. I always try to give back to the community where ever I am.

My CS experiences so far have been nothing short of amazing. I love this website, I love the people I've met and the friends I have made. Couldn't recommend this site more!
I have couchsurfed in Orlando, Austin, Dallas and Lima.

Learning to snowboard in the Rocky Mountains and now spending two snow seasons snowboarding.
Paragliding in Tyrol over the Austrian Alps.
Drinking a beer at the Hofbrauhaus in Munich.
Trying space cakes in Amsterdam and partying like a rockstar at the 5 story nightclub in Prague.

I'm also a pretty good at baking. If you like lemon tarts, sticky date pudding, sugar pie or date scones then I'm your girl for the job!
EDIT: I recently learned how to make cheese, soap and pickle things so I could share that knowledge too!
