Hello! My name is Hanako Ogawa Montgomery and I'm currently a college students in the United States. I'm majoring in Asia and Asian American Studies, as well as Japanese Studies. I love learning about history and culture!
Most of my friends describe as relaxed, ambitious and curious. I'm always up for a new adventure and am always asking questions to learn more about everything!
When I'm not in school, I like to travel and try new foods with new people! I like learning to cook, but I'm not that good at it yet and have much to learn. I think food is best enjoyed with others and am always looking to enjoy meals with different people.
Besides traveling, I like to write screenplays and read books. It's been a passion of mine since I was in high school and whenever I have free time, I like to jot down new ideas. Films from other countries also interest me, as communication and the way art is expressed differs.
I also love to dance; I've been dancing since the age of 4 and am still learning new genres! Currently, I'm taking latin dance classes.
Nature and mountain climbing are two other passions of mine, though I'm only a beginner.

I've used Couchsurfing before with a friend through her account, but never formally made my own! As I start taking more solo trips, I wanted to make a profile and get to know new people from all around the world (and hopefully try delicious food with them!).
Couchsurfing has always been a great experience for me, and I'm still great friends with so many of the people I met through this website. Having the opportunity to meet people from all around the world is exciting and makes the world seem much less lonely!

One of my biggest physical achievements is climbing Mount Fuji at the age of 17. I had landed in Japan only 36 hours before, but made it to the top to see the sun rise!
