Overview
About Me
The name is Hanane. I'm a Tunisian who is currently trying to accept the things that I can`t do and get better at the things I CAN. In 2016 I moved to Brazil, where I'm currently working as a language teacher.
I adore languages, cultures, traveling and meeting people from all over the world to hear their story. I'm quite outspoken, but only after I have given it a lot of thinking. I love to make jokes and don't take anything too seriously. Sense of humour is something I highly value, and spontaneity as well. I think you should never try to impress people you don't actually like. We are all amateurs in some way, so it's pointless feeling superior to someone else.
Life is what happens when you're making plans, so I don't make too many of them, 'cause it's much more fun that way, and you feel less disappointed when something is not working out. Yet if I ever set firm goals for myself , then, once I've defined the benchmarks, I take the necessary steps to achieve those milestones. I am consequently the type of person that meets challenges head-on rather than sweep them under the rug and keep on hoping that they will just go away.
I'm a loyal friend and I like a lot of different people for different reasons. I like to look for the good things in each person and try to be positive every day. I am known for being a great listener and a clear communicator and every day I work to improve myself and my skills. I believe that I am a responsible person, even though I like doing crazy things sometimes. I take responsibility for my actions and when things go wrong I don't look to outside forces to blame. I adore traveling, nature, kids, animals especially horses, art, adventures and spending time with elderly.
PHILOSOPHY
Nobody's perfect, everyone makes mistakes and once you accept that, the road to happiness lies wide open. I believe in GOOD MANNERS: treat ALL people the same way you want them to treat you, be honest to them, be respectful, do not take advantage of them, do not take them for granted. If you do this, they will treat you the same. But YOU have to start. Not them. You!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because it's wonderful there are still people in this world who are willing to let complete strangers into their homes and guide them through their cities and their culture. And, vice versa, it's also wonderful there are still people who don't mind being hosted by complete strangers! The common reaction towards couchsurfing is often one of fear and suspicion, but that shows you exactly why this world needs it!
