About Me
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Meet new people, new cultures, new personalities, learn from them.
Stay true to CS' original philosophy: I do my best to help those in need and put a smile on their faces, and support the utopian ideals of travel and cultural exchange.
Interests
Play piano (Chopin and Bach, and that's enough)
dancing
hiking, pilates
swimming (definitely a girl of the oceans)
cooking: ask my friends, I'm a michelin star home-cook :)
Vegetarian (I don't care about what you eat, as long as you don't slaughter a cow in front of me)
write poems (don't laugh but for some weird reason, I love to rhyme)

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: jazz, jazz, jazz, alternative rock, indie folk, classical
Movie: any non-mainstream movie is my favorite, and please no horror movies or anything that's gore (my all time favorite movie is eternal sunshine of the spotless mind)
Books: too many to list here: books of Slavoj Zizek, Michel Foucault, Nietzsche, Zulfu Livaneli, Orhan Pamuk, Can Dundar, Ayse Kulin, Homer, Arthur Conan Doyle, Oscar Wilde, any history book
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
making my students aware of the world's problems and act on them as critical and responsible marketers in the future...and they come to me and say, professor you've changed my vision of work and even life! Mission accomplished 😀
Oh I also saved a guy in epileptic seizure, onion is the remedy folks :)
Teach, Learn, Share
There is no end to learning, which is why I'm on CS in the first place. I take what it stands for literally: Cultural Sharing, Cooking Skills, Caring Spirit, Communication and Solidarity, Countless Smiles!
What I Can Share with Hosts
If you don't find positive and optimistic people annoying, then you and I will have a great time with lots of laughter to share! I love making people laugh (that's the meaning of my Persian name)...
I also cook for my guests, and they can cook as well. Who would say no to a traditional Turkish breakfast and Turkish food in general? :)
If it's a weekend (usually busy at school during the week), I can also take you to some of the interesting attractions and bars in the city.
