I am Hans, 30 years old, currently residing in Berlin, Germany, trained physiotherapist, now student at Humboldt University (major English, minor Biology) and part-time bellboy at the Westin Grand Hotel in Berlin. In addition to this, I have been playing handball since my 7th Birthday and I love to do sports in general. Apart from doing different sports I love to spend time with my friends and family, to try out jobs I have not done before , to travel a lot and to meet new and interesting people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The opportunity to meet new people, to learn about different customs and cultures, to improve my foreign language skills (English, Spanish) and to travel a lot, although I am not wealthy and on a tight budget most of the time!

I enjoy reading books by John Niven and Edward Sharpe- always funny and easy reads....
My favourite bands: Flogging Molly, Dropkick Murphys, Mumford and Sons, the Police, Rolling Stones, CCR, Frank Turner, Nathaniel Rateliff, Die Toten Hosen, Ska-P, Broilers, Green Day,....
My favourite movies: do not have one in particular, but the Big Lebowski and Mindhorn are the funniest films I have seen so far...........Nevertheless, with a glass of wine or a can of beer in my hand, I do enjoy every movie!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My journey to India.....although not everything was nice + My semester abroad at the University of Manchester in the UK- I was very lucky to find a room in an incredible Mancunian flatshare....
