About Me

Made in China, learning in Switzerland.

Always get excited to do new things, go to new places and meet different people. Professionally I study computer science but am trying to become a neuroscientist at the moment. It would be AWESOME if you want to talk about brain and artificial intelligence. Lots of amazing things are happening in these two fields.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Traveling for me is not about checking off items from a list of places to go to or things to do, but rather learning from the people who have stories to tell.

Life has so much to offer and one of the best ways to learn about those meaningful lessons is to see through the world via the glass of the locals.

Interests

I have been playing clarinet for more than 10 years both being a soloist and being part of an orchestra and therefore It always excites whenever I get a chance to go to any classical music concert.

When talking about tracking, I am of more an active person than a sightseeing person. I like to be active and experience things when I travel. That's why extreme sports became my love, Skydiving in Zion, Rafting and Canyoning in Interlaken, surfing in Agadir and scuba diving in Sanya. I think my next adventure will be snowboarding somewhere in Europe for a week : ) Can't wait already!

Music, Movies, and Books

I read a lot. I did lots of classical reading in high school but after I entered college, my readings have become more psychology and neuroscience related.

Some good ones that I enjoyed reading recently are: Think Fast and Slow, The Tell-Tale Brain, Phantoms in the Brain and On Intelligence.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Helped a Swedish lady come up with the Chinese name for her new China-based health care company on the flight back to Amsterdam from Beijing. She even tipped me at the end by giving away her last RMBs!

What I Can Share with Hosts

First of all, I love to talk about the brain, artificial intelligence and their implications for the coming generations and ourselves.

I would be very happy share my interesting life stories that include the followings but not limited to: traveling with some African friends in Europe and were discriminated when people didn't know how to pronounce our names or how I met this millionaire when I took a cab to London Stansted to catch my flight to Morocco : )
