Overview
About Me
Playing bass, sailing, weird philosophical discussions, and biking are all things I really enjoy. I'm nearly always up to discuss the nature of things and hardly ever shy away from hearing how other people think.
Traveling is such an interesting thing... We can either feel completely removed and isolated from where we are, or integrate and really feel the place as it is. I aspire to do the latter, whether surfing or hosting!
Philosophy:
Explore the limits of thought and perception.
I try to recognize that at the end of the day, I'm a biological computer, which makes all the things I fuss and fret over seem kinda funny.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think it's awesome to learn about other cultures and share what we know about where we live with travelers. The human mind allows for so many ways to interpret the world and I'm looking forward to learning about some besides my own.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Blasted through the Channel Islands at about 25 knots during a sailboat race from San Francisco to San Diego. The surf was about 10 feet and we were going faster than the wave period so we'd accelerate as we surfed down one wave then plow through the next one. My job was to keep all the sails we had tied on deck from falling off... while also not falling off myself
Teach, Learn, Share
I enjoy helping people fix things from computers to bicycles.
I'm also down to help with math or philosophy homework
What I Can Share with Hosts
I love discussing crazy stuff whether its the Fermi Paradox or what we think is going to be happening a thousand years from now, so if you want someone to talk with I'm down. I can also show you around Santa Cruz. I've lived here most of my life and would be glad to introduce some of the awesome nature spots I've found over the years.
