Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have recently heard about couch surfing, but I have been participating all my life by traveling, making new friends, visiting new friends, picking up hitch-hikers, hitching, and generally exploring the world every way I can fathom.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I guess my current favorite trip is my impromptu one to Canada! I had no money, a backpack and a train ticket! I stopped all along California visiting friends and making new friends. My baker friend packed a lot of bread (on top of my cup of noodles in my pack) for me and a GIANT bread pudding! Jeeez, I've never seen one SO BIG. It took up a good fraction of my 60L backpack for goodness sakes! I also traded away some of my pastries for a song of two from a fellow traveler with less bread...

... frankly I've begun drinking with a fantastic man and so I shall say that I met Santa Claus (his name is actually Jim and lives in Washington, USA), shared a dinner of ramen with bread an Aki who bicycled North America, shared my last food with a starving girl, went on a sexy date, hiked up a mountain, saw bears, jumped off a mountain and saw a street full of cracked up folks, kissed a sexy crystal-eyed singer, and San Diego has good microbreweries! <3

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

1. Surviving a swim when the tide was going out. Almost died but I am here! Hurray!
2. Everything grand in the wild: Sierra Nevada, Alps, ocean, Grand Canyon, Canadian mountains... so many places are honestly quite awe-inspiring
3. Lol, the rainbows in my head :D
