About Me

Open, friendly and always down for a chat over coffee, dancing the night away or a relaxed evening enjoying wonderful meals with wonderful people! Im a curious cat and love learning about other peoples lives, their purpose and what brings them joy.

This current chapter of life has me wandering through Europe since the end of August. I've been hiking, wwoofing and spending as much time in nature as possible.

Mutual respect is very important to me and something I have found is foundational for a positive CS experience.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing can provide a home away from home with fantastic hosts when you travel. As a host it is wonderful to be able to provide a fun and safe place for a fellow travelor to be able to use as a base to explore your city and area.

Im here to meet like minded people who get excited over the beauty this world has to offer and develop some serious travel envy and be inspired by the amazing stories, perspectives and adventures told by people who have visited places I myself may never have thought of visiting (yet)!

I have hosted (through CS and chance encounters with travellers) while living in Melbourne and am looking forward to meeting new hosts in their homes now!

Interests

Everything outdoors. Hiking, climbing, swimming, surfing, camping, diving, hopefully one day snowbaording and skiing, paragliding .... the list goes on
also love good music and delicious vegetarian food, reading fantastic books, creating and crafting. All sciences fascinate me as well, help to quench that thirst of knowledge about how things work and function and why and how they became that way.

Music, Movies, and Books

I find it hard to pick favourites!

the last five books I have read:

Bridge of Clay - Markus Zusak
The Old Man and the Sea - Ernest Hemingway
The Fig Eater -Jody Shields
Zwei Schwestern aus gutem Haus - Isabella Bossi Fedrigotti
Call me by your name - André Aciman

Music - i love almost all genres, show me something new!
recently i find myself waking up and moving my body to Lush -Fourtet and Beginners Luck - Marabou state. They seem to embody a travellers energy for me at the moment.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A significant recent highlight was hiking the Kungsleden for two weeks alone in September. I hadn't ever taken such a long hiking + camping trip by myself and it was absolutely wonderful!

Teach, Learn, Share

Im open to learning many new things and have some handicraft knowledge. Can give you a sourdough baking crash course, knitting etc.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love to cook and bake and would happily share or prepare a meal for you!
