About Me

Hi, my name is Hannah.

I am a translator and language teacher, as well as a student of psychology and linguistics. My passion for different cultures and languages has led me to a variety of hobbies, from film and music research to a deep interest in social phenomena and personality psychology.

Travelling for me is not only an opportunity to see new places, but also a chance to get to know people with their unique stories and perspectives. I am always open to socialising, sharing experiences and ready to immerse myself in new cultural backgrounds.

Right now I live in Belarus and work online, but I hope to move to Budapest soon. I love listening to music (especially metal!), discussing films and literature, and I have experience working with children and adults, which helps me to find a common language with people of different ages.

I really appreciate honesty, openness and mutual understanding. I will be glad to meet new acquaintances and positive impressions!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m on Couchsurfing because I believe that the best way to experience a place is through its people. Traveling isn’t just about seeing new locations; it's about connecting with locals, sharing stories, and creating meaningful experiences.

As someone who loves to explore different cultures and languages, Couchsurfing offers a unique opportunity to learn directly from others, while also sharing my own knowledge and perspectives. I’m excited to meet new people, exchange ideas, and build lasting connections, wherever my travels take me!

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a huge fan of metal and its various subgenres. Bands like Slipknot, Korn, Lorna Shore, and Sleep Token are always on my playlist. I love how metal music isn’t just raw energy but also a form of emotional and psychological expression. The intensity of the lyrics and sound often taps into deeper themes of identity, personal struggles, and human emotions. It's an art form that communicates something beyond words—similar to how tattoos tell stories through visuals
I rarely watch new films and usually rewatch my favorites. One of my absolute favorite movies is Twilight. It’s one of those comfort films that I can always go back to. Besides that, I enjoy films that dive deep into psychology and complex human behavior
My favorite book is South of the Border, West of the Sun by Haruki Murakami. His storytelling is captivating, and the way he explores emotions and human connections resonates with me deeply.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One amazing thing I’m working on is trying to fulfill my sister’s dream of attending a Slipknot concert. It’s a goal that means a lot to both of us, as we share a deep connection through our love of music. I’m determined to make this dream a reality and experience that incredible energy live with her.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach English and Russian, as I’ve been tutoring both children and adults for several years. I’m also happy to share my knowledge in psychology, especially topics related to non-verbal communication and personality types. If you’re interested in metal music, I’d love to share some insights and recommendations too!
I’m always eager to learn more about different cultures, music genres, and people’s personal experiences. I’m particularly interested in learning more about tattoos as an art form and how they tell stories about identity. And I’m always looking to expand my knowledge of psychology, especially how it intersects with art and communication.
I can share stories from my travels, experiences in linguistics and translation, and my passion for films and books that explore human nature. I love deep conversations about music, literature, and psychology, and I’m always open to sharing my thoughts and learning from others.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can introduce you to some cool Russian or Belarusian culture and language insights, or help with English if you're learning.
If you’re into tattoos, I’d love to discuss the art form and what they symbolize for different people.
