Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet other like-minded individuals that love to travel and share their experiences. We all have so much to learn about one another through our stories.

Interests

Going to sporting events (huge baseball and rugby fan), cooking, picking up new hobbies (i.e taking a woodworking class next month), planning trips, hookah, airplanes, designing life safety systems. I'm a social butterfly with a nerdy side. I have a "let me go out into the world and see what I can learn" kind of mentality. Interacting and learning from people is invaluable, and that's what I strive to do everyday; share stories, make people laugh, and make new connections.

When traveling, I typically prefer to stay in hostels and airbnb's, opposed to a standard hotel. I'm able to connect with so many more people that way and have had made some lifelong friends because of it!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I mostly listen to RnB, hip-hop, and reggaeton. I have an appreciation for classical music and also enjoy tranquil meditation music.

Movies: Action and suspenseful films are my favorite. The Godfather is my favorite trilogy of all time.

Books: I've been reading a lot about meditation lately and am trying to read more non-fiction novels.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I quit my job and bought a flight to Spain the next day. (I had done no planning for this trip and winged it. This turned out to be the BEST decision ever!)

Picked up the hobby of solo traveling. I LOVE IT!

Found self-love and internal happiness (it has taken me YEARS to get here and I continue to work on it everyday)

Getting my engineering degree. I had to work hard for that bad boy!

Established a group of friend full of honest, genuine people.

Cut relationships with negative/toxic people.

Decided to live life for myself and to always do what's best for me.

Teach, Learn, Share

Self-love, happiness, and positivity are key elements into living a comfortable and successful life. I would love to share my insight and lessons learned with others. We all deserve a beautiful life and to surround ourselves with genuine and kind people.

I would also love to learn about other travelers's backgrounds, cultures, etc. I think we can learn the most from one another, opposed to trying to learn all things on our own.
